ESP 301 driver with GPIB vs USB

Hi 

We are in the process of buying Newport stages with ESP 301 controller, and we will be controlling the stages via Lab View. I am wondering if we should choose the controller with GPIB/USB ports or just USB ? Will it be different to control via Labview in each case. I am new to Lab view and dont understand all its intricasies, so please share any thoughts you have on this.

the usb only is OK

it is in fact a serial line
