Device not showing up in VISA interactive control

Hello, I am trying to access a NI USB-6251 device through VISA (pyvisa). However, the device does not show up in the VISA interactive control panel. In MAX it shows up properly and the test panel works fine. I also could not find any information on the compatibility of this device with VISA.

OS: Windows 7; VISA 5.4.1

Any help is highly appreciated.

It's not compatible with VISA. It's compatible with DAQmx. That is how it is showing on MAX.

The document does not apply unless you are somehow able to get from NI the very low level USB protocol. This is not likely.

Your question about a list of devices does not make much sense to me. None of the DAQ devices have a VISA interface.
