Please take some time to do some basic research on A/D and D/A conversion. You show a pretty incomplete knowledge of both. You can use a sample clock for both or neither. If you require a waveform output (i.e. a sine wave) to be output, you would use a sample clock to output a specific frequency. If you just need one sample of a specific voltage, you would not use the D/A sample clock.
