9870 in Scan Mode on NI9146

My ports show in MAX, but are not available in my lvproj chasis using Scan Mode?

All other modules work as expected.  I have used this module in scan mode in another chasis, but the 9146 is new to me.

I made a serial loopback connector and ran a serial loopback test as attached.

Any help and insight is appreciated!

Hi P,

As of LabVIEW 2010 and later, we do support scan mode for your 9870 device. However you will need to install support separately using a custom software installation for NI-Serial and 9870 and 9871 Scan Engine Support. I already have this installed and running latest all drivers. See attached pics in 1st post showing MAX and lvproj

I now have it working with a little trial and error.

Looks like "NI VISA Server" is required on the target to select the VISA resource to read.
