interfacing NI opc server with delphi ide (pascal)

Dear all, 

can u please tell me how to interface the opc server with delphi ide (pascal)?

Actually i have connected my s7-400 plc with ni opc servar and i want to interface all tags to delphi ide (pascal). but i dont know how to do it, there  must be a process or tools or anything,.

Hi Mahmilton,

Our OPC server is like any other other OPC server. If Delphi or pascal has libraries that allow you to interact with OPC servers, you should be able to use those. 

Upon a quick google search, I found this link that looks like it contains code to interact with OPC servers in the Delphi IDE. I'm not sure if it's using Pascal but it might be worth taking a look at it.

Thanks for ur reply. i have seen ur link. Now i agreed that interfacing opc server with delphi ide is possible. 

But i wanted to know how do i interface my ni opc servar's tags into delphi ide? is there any toutorials or article to do this job. Is there any specialist/ engineer on NI who can help me to know the procedures.

Hi Mahmilton,

Sorry for the confusion, but I completely overlooked the fact that our OPC server is only accessible from other NI products. If you want other environments to interact with your OPC server, we recommend going with another 3rd party OPC server. I don't know how that slipped my mind and I apologize for the communcation of misinformation.
