Ethernet/IP - physical port?

Hey,

I have a CVS-1457RT - wich has one primary Ethernet port and two PoE Ethernet ports (for cams)

I need to communicate with a Rockwell RSLogix controller over Ethernet/IP...

I got the Enthernet/IP driver from NI, and am trying to use the TagReadWrite.vi example...

How do I configure the CVS-1457RT to use one of the secondary Ethernet ports for this?

Hi Henrik,

I think if you connect the Primary ethernet port to a network where Rockwell PLC and your LabVIEW and PLC development PC are connected to, it should work.

1. you talk to PLC by RSlogix for both programming and monitoring

2. you talk to CVS-1457RT by LabVIEW for both programming and monitoring. You need to deploy your VI to it. In the VI, PLC's IP address should be specified for tag read and write.

I don't think you need to configure one the secondary Ethernet ports. But in case you do, the Vision board should be a better place to post.
