Not sure if this is the right board, but here goes.

What is the difference between a USB-7856R and a USB-7856R OEM?

Hi johnoc,

I think the best board to post this to would have been the Real Time Measurement and Control board here: https://forums.ni.com/t5/Real-Time-Measurement-and/bd-p/280 .  However, I can still do my best to answer your questions.

There are a few differences between the USB-7856R and the USB-7856R OEM.  Mainly in the areas of product certifications and available inputs and outputs.  I've included a few links below that have some relevant information.

NI USB-7856R Product Page: https://www.ni.com/en-us/shop/model/usb-7856.html
NI USB-7856R Specifications: https://www.ni.com/docs/en-US/bundle/usb-7856-specs/page/specs.html

NI USB-7856R OEM Specifications: https://www.ni.com/docs/en-US/bundle/usb-7856-oem-specs/page/specs.html

If you are looking for a device to fit a specific application, I recommend contacting one of our sales representatives.  Information on how to contact them is available at the link below.
