I am pretty sure I had some documentation on this somewhere; however, neither the latest version of niScope on my computer nor the specs for the board I found on the web seem to document a max value. I know the type is ViReal64 (CVI programmer - sorry).
The particular function I am working with is niScope_ConfigureTriggerDigital
In my immediate case I am interested in a PXIE5122 with 64 option. This will be a single channel acquisition.
I thought there was a formula based on the sample clock.
System is Win7 64 bit, CVI 2013 sp2, NI scope 14.1.
Full configuration data from NIMAX attached if needed.

Okay I found a reference here.
http://zone.ni.com/reference/en-XX/help/370592W-01/digitizers/5122-5124_trigger_delay/
Max trigger delay in seconds = [(234 – 1) – requested posttrigger samples] × (1/actual sample rate)
