How can I successfuly start Matlab in the HiQ command window

when I start matlab (6.5.1 rel. 13 ) in the HiQ (4.1 update 1 ) command window I get the following error message :
Error: unable to launch MATLAB. Verify that MATLAB is properly installed.
In order to the HiQ help I launch MATLAB with /regserver switch in the OS environment.

This should help but it doesn't ! ??????????
