using FPTC120 with signalexpress

Hi

We have a new national instruments setup hardware and software in our lab, but we now have a requirement for the old FieldPoint FP-TC-120 modules. I am looking into using these old modules for a test rig I am currently developing. Is the signalexpress software compatible with these modules? and if not where can I find compatible software?

Hi mtnglen,

Signal Express 2013 cannot access field point devices. However, LabVIEW 2013 and below can, with the use of the NI-FieldPoint Driver Signal Express comes as part of the LabVIEW Full Development license, so you might have LabVIEW installed already.

However, please note that there are much newer modular I/O hardware options that have a Real-Time processor, such as the CompactRIO platform. The CompactRIOs also have an FPGA, for control loops done in hardware and high sampling rates (10 MS/s and above - depending whether you sample an analog or digital signal).
