labview compatibility

I am heading off to Europe to upgrade the software on an old Windows XP system and FieldPoint 1000 and LabVIEW 7 and legacy MAX.  I assume that the installed drivers and RTE are from that period.  My problem is that I have to add features to the LabVIEW program and it will now be compiled using LabVIEW 2011 and need the new RTE installed.

Will I have any problems with FP or legacy MAX?  What can I do about it?

You will need to upgrade your FieldPoint drivers to 6.0.9 and MAX to work with 2011. You can find the FieldPoint drivers for free on our website:

The Device Drivers Installation Disc for LabVIEW 2011 should include MAX (and FieldPoint), but you can also download the device drivers here:

I do have the same problem. What about an upgrade of the FP1000 firmware in addition to the FP drivers and MAX?

Trigas,

The latest version of the fp1000 firmware is version 30. All FP ethernet modules are still compatible with new version of the fieldpoint driver. So if you need to upgrade the firmware here is the link but the software isnt tested on xp or newer machines. You shouldn't have any issues connecting and receiving values from the FP 1000 in LabVIEW 2011 as long as you have the latest fieldpoint driver installed.
