Too agressive SPAM prevention?

As you can see, forum engine thinks "S-e" is a forbidden word! 

This is really annoying at least for italian and spanish users which use that word very often.

...at least we are not blocked by an error message, but asterisks make it difficult difficult to understand posts!

I recently posted a new topic in the LabVIEW forum where I describe a problem displaying characters in "the language of China" aka

But every instance of that word is being replaced by asterisks. What gives?

Of course: if you know the situation you can put a patch on it. Explicitly setting text color to black on a single letter works too.

But it seems to me that we are supposed to spend our time in a better way than slaloming between forums traps, aren't we? 

And don't forget infrequent visitors which can be unaware of such tricks.

it seems we are forbidden to combine a "C" with a "4" by the forum software.

Surely there's a reson for this behaviour…

This word was being blocked due to some word restrictions we had setup for one of our foreign language boards -- but the filters were applied to the entire forum. We've reviewed this, and you can now post as expected. Sorry for any inconvenience this caused.

Even if the forum does not block that word, you post will probably be automatically inspected by the NSA and homeland security anyway.  😮

as I'm no US citizen my internet traffic will be inspected by NSA (and other "Five Eyes" parties), no matter which words I write… 😉

Yes, but you might want to come to NI week one of these days, so you don't want to be on the no-fly list because of some words....

Coming by boat, train, and bus is quite tedious. 😄
