I've been using this link to take me directly into the forums already signed in. (I believe I got it from an earlier tst message.)
http://sine.ni.com/niforum/niforum?lang=US&requireLogin=True&forumDU=http://forums.ni.com/
Sometime after I saw tst's latest message about login problems, (late Sunday, the 5th) I noticed problems as well.
When I use this link, the page begins to load, blinks, begins to load again, blinks, begins to load again, ..... forever. It is constantly trying to start over and never takes me to the forums.

This new link should work.
Bookmark it and let me know if you have problems. You might need to delete your NI cookies just in case.

No, this new new link has the same problem as the previous new link - it logs me out automatically when I open a new page and it decides it doesn't like it. I deleted my cookies twice using the NI page and also manually and closed the browser before retrying. Can anyone at Lithium actually reproduce the problem? Can they create an account here to try it?
I don't know if this is relevant, but this happens when I open the page in a new tab. I don't remember if this also happened when I opened a page in the same tab, but I can say for sure that once this happens, even if I click a link in the same tab that was logged in properly (and still shows my user name at that point, since it was loaded before the log-out happened), the page I will get to will show me as being logged out.

I was used to access some forum pages with the same link that RavensFan has reported in his last post and it's a pity that that method is no longer working, as it was easy and comfortable.
My experience on the link provided by Jordan is very disapponting: on one hand I suffer very often with the problem pointed out by tst (being logged out when opening some pages). On the other hand, when accessing with that method and trying to post some answer I am presented with a strange posting page, with a reduced toolbar in which the active elements are not working (I am referring to smileys, add link, add image, code... buttons). You can see it in this screenshot:
As you can see in the image, using Jordan link I am always using https pages, while if I simply open the forums and authenticate with "Sign in" button I am viewing normal http pages (which by the way work correctly and never log me out). Maybe this can help understanding what's happening.

As far as I can tell, the following link should work for fully automatic sign in and is shouldn't sign you out. I haven't tested it for too long, but it seems to work:
Others are welcome to add it to their favorites and give their feedback. You might also need to delete the NI cookies (using the link from Jordan's last reply and then sign in again).

Thanks for further clarifying your experience, Robert. I will have one of the developers on the new authentication method take a look and see if he can determine what's going on here with the sporadic logging out.
Since you've deleted NI cookies and bookmarked the new login link are you still experiencing the limited toolbar? I think you are the first person to report this behavior and I want to be sure we can tie it back to the new authentication method.
Thanks,
Jordan

The link I posted in my last reply (which is different from any of the links you posted) has worked fine for me for the past couple of weeks or so. Maybe you can check to see why that works and if it's OK, just have everyone use that.

It has been working well for me. Thanks.

Yes, the link provided by tst is working for me too.
It's not so fast: on my machines it takes more or less the same time of directly bookmarking one board and clicking sign-in once in the board. Previous way was significantly faster (cfr link provided by Ravens Fan in his last post).
The strange "reply to message" screen I posted some days ago can still be viewed if I:
1. Access with the link provided by tst
or
Go into forums.ni.com and click "Sign In"
2. Go to https://forums.ni.com (which is the target page in the link posted by Jordan)
3. Choose a board, a message and try to reply to it
