Naming the Next Rank

Hello Everyone!

I think in the past there has been some off and on discussion about the ranks in our community.  I wanted to pose a question to you all to start a new discussion:

What do you think the name of the rank above "Enthusiastic" should be?

After we get some ideas, perhaps we can have a poll and vote on it.

I look forward to your ideas!

Regards,
Laura

Whatever you call it, just make sure that it doesn't take an increase of a whole order of magnitude to get to from Enthusiastic, in the same way that you need it to get from Active to Enthusiastic. Even Dennis would have trouble with that. Smiley Very Happy

Maybe the color for it can be that of the funky error cluster?

My favorite is Knights of NI that Ben came up with.Smiley Very Happy Instead of stars, we could be awarded shrubberies.

Well... I was also thinking of NI Fellow, but it already exists for something slightly different Smiley Indifferent
But you're right... "LabVIEW" is a bit restrictive...

Would "NI Fellow" be possible Smiley Surprised ?

Thank you Laura for concidering this enhancement.

Isn't Jeff K a LabVIEW Fellow?

For me that rules out that idea (that I would like otherwise).

Since Dennis is the path-finder for this stratospheric climb, I have to give a lot of weight to his opinion.

So how about this (chime in with your opions all! It only a matter of time before many of you will be tredding the same path).

2000 Enthusiast

4000 Knight of NI                         one shrub

6000 2nd Degree Knight of NI     two shrubs

8000 3rd Degree Knight of NI     three shrubs

10000 4th Degree Knight of NI   four shrubs

Alternatively we could use the challenges of Aurthur and have;

Knight of NI

Knight of NI Order of the Duck

Knight of NI Order of the Trojan Rabbit

Knight of NI order of the Shruberry

KNight of NI Order of the Killer Rabbit

Knight of NI Order of the African Swallow (un-ladden)

Like I said earlier, voice your opinion!

Ben

PS Laura, Could you please post this thread as an announcement and plan for a poll?

I think Jeff K is an NI Fellow and Keith Odom is an NI R&D Fellow...

That's why I though of LabVIEW Fellow, but TonP is right, "LabVIEW is a bit restrictive...

I also like the Knight of NI idea altough it's not mine Smiley Very Happy

Whatever we come up with....

The bars and other icons should be a link to a page that explains what each level is and in turn also has links to a sorted list of all members of each level.
