NI Discussion Forums News

The new NI Discussion Forums News shows 1 Posts and 1 New, no matter how frequently I read it, the title remains bold and 1 New...

Other than that, I like the new category Getting Started on the NI Discussion Forums Smiley Happy

I also find that continually bold board annoying.

Seeing Lynn's comment I was wondering why this doesn't bother me, so I looked and:

  1. I have a bunch of floated board, so this is all below them.
  2. When I looked at it, I saw that it is designed like the IE. The reason the board is marked is that you didn't read the actual thread. You have to go into it and then it is marked as read.

Hi everyone,

There are a few things you can do to mark the topics as read.

For NI Discussion Forums News:

blogoptions.jpg

  1. Click on blog options > mark all as read to mark everything in this section as read.
  2. Since there's only one post in there at this time, you could also click on the read more... link at the bottom of the post which will consider the post as read.

For Getting Started on the NI Discussion Forums:

You can open (and read! Cat LOL) each indvidual topic to have each considered as read.

OR at the top of the board, choose Options > Mark all as Read.

Additionally, there are general options for this functionality under My Settings > Preferences > General which will apply to the entire discussion forum, so tweak these as you see fit.

I hope this information helps. Cat Happy

Thanks.

I guess I overlooked the 'Read more'... Smiley Wink

I solved it using the Blog Options / Mark all as Read, thanks.
