Error when requesting desktop site on mobile

I still see the Options > Edit Reply option on posts when on mobile.

Right, that setting isn't available. Ideally, there would be a way for users to enable the text editor if they wanted to. Not sure if this is possible, but we can capture this to investigate.

Lithium has been investigating this issue and states that it occurs because when the Request Desktop Site function uses the last URL -- which in this situation is the type of URL that should not be navigated to directly. As I mentioned earlier in this topic, this is similar to other websites when if you fill out a form, submit, then attempt to go back in the browser, you may see a message such as "this page is no longer available" or "this action cannot be processed."

Regardless, it turns out that it is possible to have the text editor options available, including the ability to insert images. This should lessen the need to switch to the desktop view.

We've put in the request to have this enabled.

Update: the rich text editor options are now available on mobile.
