NI-FBUS CM 4.01 - E_COMM_ERROR and disconnect

When using an application on top of NI-FBUS CM 4.01, we occasionally see E_COMM_ERROR errors occurring.

Using NI-FBUS Monitor to view the packet we see the following disconnect packet:

 70 F7 20 10 22 00 0B

The NI-FBUS (0x10 0x22) data link layer seems to be sending a disconnect code.

Can you please explain under which conditions (for what reasons) a disconnect is sent?

Re: NI-FBUS CM 4.01 - E_COMM_ERROR and disconnect

Hi,

Generally speaking, this is because the hardware is plugged off or disconnected for some reason.

And sometimes, the power supply loss for the devices also causes the similar error.

Then during your application, make sure the hardware connection is untouched and the power supply is stable.

Hope this will help somehow.

Thanks.
