PXI-4462 Fails Self-Calibrate#2

Solved!
Go to solution

I am getting a Self-Calibrate Error for the NI PXI-4462.  Error Code -50403.  I am running Windows 7 x64.  The PXI-4462 is placed in a NI PXI-1031 Chasis, communicating to the PC via NI PXI-8331 (MXI-4) that is slot#1 of the chasis.  I have never seen this error before.  Can you please help?  Attached is a screenshot.

Hi,

This could be many reasons but I think it might be best to see if you can get another chassis and test it on there.  Have/can you try it on a different chassis without a MXI system?

I installed the MXI-4 with the PXI-4462 in a different PXI-1031 chasis and I still get the same error.  I even tried installing the cards in a PXI-1033 chasis, but soon realized the MXI-4 is not compatible with the 1033 chasis.  I don't believe I have any other way to communicate to my current PC without using the MXI-4 PCI to PCI cards.  We do have PCI-express adapters for notebook computers, but the notebook computers we have do not have Calibration Executive installed to control the standards (Fluke 5700A Calibrator, Agilent 33250A Waveform Generator) used during external calibration of the PXI-4462.

Attached is an error (in the color red) that shows a timeout error.  Are these 2 related?

Problem is solved.  When using a NI PXI-1031 chasis with a PXI-8331(MXI-4) in slot #1, the PXI 4462 must be in the furthest slot on the right (slot#4).  Attached is a screenshot.
