How to measure grounded multiple-channel input signals using PCI-6034E?

In the 6034E manual, it's recommended to use AISENSE as the reference pin to measure grounded signal. I want to measure analog input from two channels simultaneously and both are grounded. The two signals come from two BNC cables. My question is since there is only one pin for AISENSE, can I short the two BNC shields and connect it to AISENSE? Is there other consideration I need to know perhaps impedance matching or else that might affect the signals?

Thank you.

Hello;

In fact, the best way to measure grounded signal sources is by configuring the DAQ device as differential input mode.

In case you need to configure the DAQ device as nonreferenced single ended, you can short all different grounds to the AISENSE pin with no problem.

Hope this helps.
