How to convert a tmp file to an actual file, if you know the extension

I want to be able to convert multiple tmp files to actual files with a particular extension in labview. I was wondering if this is possible and if so, how would I do it? In theory, I think I would just need to split the file name, change the extension and then merge it and that way I should be able to change the file, although I think that there are many files that make reference to the same tmp file, but if it was just only one, this would be the way.

Can someone please tell me if I'm correct and if not, could you give an example.

It is posible to convert multiple files to actual files with a particular extension in LabVIEW.  There is no specific method but you could use advanced functions. I send the following link where you can find some advanced functions.
