Hi,

In your vi, are you working with DAQ Assistant? If your answer is positive, the problem can be related with the configuration of the channel that you assign in the DAQ Assistant because when you configure for one channel and then you change the USB-6501 to another physical connection on the computer, the internal settings on the DAQ Assistant do not get updated, For that reason I would suggest to you open the DAQ Assistant where you select which physical channels are tied to the acquisition and select the proper channels on your device and close the DAQ Assistant. This is a good first step to solve your problem.

We have set device name "dev1" and "dev2" in NIDaqmx.

we have not changed any physical connection.

Hi,

What is the LabVIEW version that you have?

What is the NI-DAQmx version?

have you changed the power management options for the USB hub?

That often helps keep USB devices powered up and connected

Hi Marand,

We have not use Labview for this application.

Our NI DaqMX version is 9.5.5.

At 17 meters, you're 12 more than the USB max. Does everything work with a normal cable length?

But did you first try it with a normal, short cable? At least isolate the problem.

I don't know if NI supports any USB extensions.
