I need to replicate a test station that uses the now obsolete Keithly KPCI-3160.
I will be replacing it with a NI PCIe-6509.
Will this be a major re-write or minor tweek to the software?
The software was developed using National Instruments Lab Windows CVI.

Hello Tim,
The KPCI-3160 driver will have VISA calls to the Keithly instrument which are appropriate to that particular device. However, the NI PCIe-6509 would need different calls for that device. In particular, the DAQmx driver will be used with the PCIe-6509. However, components of you code which are not directly communicating with the device could be re-used.
