Hi,

I am using the PXI-6229.  I would like to output a single digital pulse for a specific amount of time.  How would I do this?

Thanks

Hi
What are you using to program the DAQ card? If it is LabVIEW please specify the version.

Hi,
There is an example program called Gen Dig Pulse.vi. You can find it in the NI Example finder. Open LabVIEW and go to Help. Select Find Examples. In the Browse tab select Hardware Input and Output>>DAQmx>>Generating Digital Pulses>>Gen Dig Pulse.vi.
I hope this helps.

Hi,

I am trying to generate a single Impulse, could I use the Single Digital Pulse example to do the same? I need to be able to modify the width of the pulse while maintaining the properties of an Impulse.

Hi jemuel,

The Gen Dig Pulse example vi enables one to produce a pulse in terms of high time and low time.  If that enables you to maintain the properties of an impulse, then yes, you can use it.

Is there any way to trigger this pulse from the front panel of the VI?  Where would the output of the button go?
