NI-DAQ-connection to acquisition board was not found

Respected Sir,

My name vijay mani, working as a researcher in bologna university.

I am new learner of Labview software.

We are using Labview 5.1 for our instrument operating in windows 95 version.

NI-DAQ 6.5 SETUP.

while running lab view 5.1 program for temperature measurement, I received one command as

connection to the acquisition board was not found
continued with predefined values or stop program

but 

When i proceed to continue with predinied values.

I noticed in viewacq.vi as

Intially

now acquiring data throttle open

and then finally

now acquiring data throttle closed

I received final output values as NaN for all the parameters.

Also sometimes i do not noticed 

connection to the acquisition board was not found
continued with predefined values or stop program

I am completely new to this field, i am kindly request you to please help me to proceed further.

Any chance you could upgrade the os and LabVIEW to something from at least this century? The message is pretty clear to me and continuing without a connection to your DAQ board is obviously a waste of time. I'm not sure if the NI configuration utility was called Measurement and Automation Explorer way back then but you should have something on your desktop that will allow you to configure and test an NI DAQ board. If that fails to detect something, then you may be on your own since nothing you have has been supported for a very long time.

MAX is not working due to Microsoft visual C++ Runtime Library

program C:// windows /Explorer.EXE

abnormal program termination.

If i can download next version of NI-DAQ 6.5 and try to installed it.

I heard for NI-DAQ 6.5 it automatically update higher version, can i try this option?

If you know any other possibility kindly share with me.

Did you do any research yourself? Did you try 6.9.3?

Respected Sir,

I do not have LabVIEW 6.9.2 version. I have LabVIEW 8.2 version.

From the internet, i read LabVIEW 5.1 compatability with 8.2 but difference between DAQ in 5.1 and DAQ-mx in 8.2 sometimes recquires reprogramming beacuse interface are different.

I am asking for 6.9.2 version is only DAQ not DAQ mx, So no probelm for reprogramming?

I would kindly request you to please direct me.

You aren't making any sense. First you say you are using LabVIEW 5.1 and now you say you are using 8.2. You asked about traditional DAQ on windows 95 and I gave you link to the last version for that os. I don't know where you get the 6.9.2 reference. The link I gave you for 6.9.3 is perfectly fine. Go to support (link at the top of the page), click 'Drivers and updates', do a search for traditional NI-DAQ.

Sorry for my confusion.

Already in the instrument were run by labVIEW 5.1 VERSION operating windows 95.

We also have LabVIEW 8.2 and 11 in our department.

If i get 6.9.2 and run it automaticlly update the old NI-DAQ 6.5 version ?

I will update you after i finished.

For my LabVIEW 5.1, operating windows 95 version, 

NI-DAQ 6.5 SETUP 

to solve the  probelm of connection to the acquisition board was not found
continued with predefined values or stop program

I installed NI-DAQ 6.5.2 setup and together  with lv51.exe

At the final stage NI-DAQ ready to configure with MAX, i also accept to configure.

I checked in add or remove prgram, i saw only NI-DAQ 6.5 BUT NOT NI-DAQ 6.5.2.

When i run labview probe.vi i received same command as connection to the acquisition board was not found.

Write now i have another probelm if open MAX from deshtop as

Microsoft visual C++ run time Library

Program C:\\Windows \Explorer.EXE.

I do not know how to solve my probelm. Please help me.
