Is there a labview compatible 32 output 24V/1A output unit?

Hi,

I am working with an application where I want to control 32 outputs with labview. Each output shall be able to handle 1A and the output voltage shall be 24V.

Is there such a unit?

Thanks,

Rui

Not without some signal conditioning.

NI makes a relay board kit that you can connect to a power supply capable of the power required, then connect your devices to the relay block.

(We had all those relays controlled by a couple of PXI Digital I/O boards.)

Thanks for your reply.

I was considering this:

do you have any experience with deditec and labview?

Thanks,

Rui

What are you trying to accomplish in the end?

If you're trying to switch solenoids/relays on and off... while that CAN controller will probably work, it's adding a lot of unnecessary complexity to the system.  Do you need PWM?

I want to control a number of LED stripes, like these:

from my labview application. I also need to dim them so that's why I need the pwm functionality.

If your system can speak CAN and that controller has the power to run it, looks like a reasonable approach.

Or try something like this... http://www.heroicrobotics.com/
