How do you generate retriggerable pulses with overlapping delay times?

Hello,

I would like to generate pulses with specified delay and pulse width on an output of my PCIe-6323 card. The pulses will be software triggered.

It looks like I could use a counter for this (as explained in the "Retriggerable Pulse or Pulse Train Generation" of the X series manual), however with this method when a (delayed) pulse generation is in progress, all other triggers are ignored. I need that every time a trigger comes in, a pulse is generated with the same delay from the trigger, even when a trigger comes in during the delay period of a previous pulse.

How to achieve this?

Thank you for any help!

Hi,

please have a look at this KB:

Hello,

I read the KB article but I don't understand how this solves the problem of overlapping delay times. Am I supposed to use a pause trigger for this? How?

Best regards
