External Controller Board Software Trigger Examples Help

I am in need of serious help!

For my applications I am using an external controller board connected to my pc via USB. Are there any examples that show how to create a software trigger to start the external controller board operation?

I know the pins on the USB connection are START, STOP, and ABORT but need a good example to go off.

Thank you,

Lawrob

The pins on a USB connection are data+, data-, and power and gnd. I don't understand your comment.

Is this related in any way to NI hardware or software?

Sorry for the confusion, for my application, we can use either RS-232 or USB but based on our connection pinlist one pin (labeled START) is needed to send a trigger to the controller board to start its operation.

I am seeking help for a setting a software trigger in Labview for the START pin for my application.

Thanks,

Lawrob

I don't know the relationship between this physical pin and a RS232/USB port. Any commands you send to this controller should be listed in its documentation.

OK but do you know of a generic example involving using a software trigger?

thanks,

It sounds like you simply need to do a VISA Write. I'm still confused as to your setup though.
