Control a USB-6525 using Python

Hi,

I am trying to control a USB-6525 using Python.  I have downloaded and installed the latest version of NI-MAX.  I also installed PyDAQmx.   However, it seems that there is a dependency that is probably not installed since I have minimal NI Hardware / Software installed in my machine.

The error I get: " Location of niDAQmx library and include file unknown on win32 - if you find out, please let the PyDAQmx project know"

I serched and the error is generated because there niDAQmx.h file is not present.   I found the following post:  http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/FB26BDA52FFFD4EE86257124005C36C3?OpenDocument

However, there I cannot find an installation to install this examples.  Is there a location or an installation I can use to install those examples?

I would suggest you downloading DAQmx lastest version in case you don't have it yet:

Hi,

Posting this in case it can help somebody with  a similar issue.

I had downloaded the latest version of NI-DAQmx.  However, after speaking with an NI support engineer.  It seems that that was the installer for only runtime version.

I was pointed to the NI-DAQmx installer for development.  Once that installation happen.  PyDAQmx runs quite well.

Thanks,

Rafael

Hello.

I have searched for solutions where I can operate the USB-6525 with python. I guess I should need some kind of DLL-library. I was very surprised when the only thing is drivers at 1.8 Gb! Then is is not even obvious what I should install. Is there any easy to use DLL-library?

Kind regards

/Björn
