One one particular machine (Campaq laptop running xp and excel 2000) every one in a while the tdm importer gets funked up and then thereafter will not allow excel to open. It actually opens and then immediately closes. The only remedy is to uninstall the tdm importer and reinstall.
Any ideas?
Are you reinstalling with the most recent version of the Add-In? Are you following any of the troubleshooting steps, or does the TDM Excel Add-In appear right away after installation?
We are using v2.0 of the importer. We do not have any trouble installing or reinstalling the importer. It appears correctly in excel. However some times it causes excel to close immediately after opening and we have to reinstall the TDM importer. This always fixes the problem. I am guessing that there is some sort of unpleasant interaction going on between the NI TDM importer plugin and some other aspect of excel, perhaps another plugin.
