Upgrade Slash Export Shortcuts

Hello,

I recently installed DIAdem 2015 and i was wondfering if there is a way to export all of my customized setting from 2014 to 2015?

For example  all of my shortcut scripts, my data pluggins, etc.

Its really anoying loading everything manually every years especially when your upgrading dozens of users.

Hi Tim,

Updating DIAdem from version to version does not unregister DataPlugins, so the new DIAdem version should immediate have access to the same DataPlugins as the older version of DIAdem on that same computer.  Of course, if you are installing a new version of DIAdem on a new computer, you will have to register all the DataPlugins on that new computer for the first time.  It is possible to do this automatically, either with a VBScript or by connecting the computer to a correctly set up DataFinder Server.

Most of the rest of your settings should transfer by copying the old Desktop.DDD file into the corresponding new DIAdem folder and overwriting the default file there.
