Save D10 data in old D7 *.dat format

Hello,

I have the problem, that we have some newer versions of Diadem and a few old licenses.

Unfortunatele, it seems the new Diadem 10 *.dat (save as --> dat ) seems to be different to the old Diadem 8 *.dat format.

Because as soon as I open the files saved under Diadem 10 there is a error message:"keyword "yID" does not exist in keyword list" od in german "Schlüsselwort "yId" nicht in Schlüsselliste vorhanden"

Does anybody kow how to save with Diadem10 the old *.dat format so Diadem7 can read?

Hallo Matthias!

The reason should be that the DAT-File is saved in Unicode. Older DIAdem version (i think before 😎 can't read them.

Solution: You should change the DAT save settings to ANSI. You will find them in the menu 'Datei/DAT-Dateien/Einstellungen...'.

Note: I don't know exactly the circumstances but this setting changes from time to time. Please check them every time you save data or set the variable DATAFILECODE to ANSIif you save from script.
