The link to the site is here:http://www-nrd.nhtsa.dot.gov/database/aspx/vehdb/testtabledetails.aspx?LJC=7481&existphoto=Y&p_tstno...

Thanks alot,

Re: Data Plug In needed for NHTSA crash test data format EV5

Hello Wormspur,

I have attached a beta version of our NHTSA EV5 DataPlugin for you.

To install:

  1. Please unzip the attached ZIP file
  2. Double click on the "NHTSA_EV5.uri"
  3. The DataPlugin will be installed and report success
  4. Open DIAdem and you should be able to use EV5 files just like any other DIAdem supported DIAdem data file format

If you have any feedback on this DataPlugin, it would be very appreciated.

Best regards,

Re: Data Plug In needed for NHTSA crash test data format EV5

This plug-in used to work for me.  Now it does not.  It could be a DIAdem 2010 to 2011 thing.

Can someone please look into it for me.

The advantage of the EV5 over the UDS is that with EV5 all channels are loaded in one group.

Thanks for your help.

Hi Matt,

The Data plugin that you are currently using is EV5,  correct? Are you wondering why the UDS Dataplugin no longer works properly? Please let me know which one you would rather use and why?

Re: Data Plug In needed for NHTSA crash test data format EV5

Brad sent me the official NHTSA version.  I guess the goverment took over the plugin.

I have attached the latest version.

Re: Data Plug In needed for NHTSA crash test data format EV5

Ever since I upgraded to DIAdem 2012, this EV5 DataPlugin no longer works.  I modified the script to output a log file, and it completes loading all of the channels and properties, but then stops and DIAdem becomes unresponsive.

Any ideas what's going on here?  Is there something that needs to be changed about the DataPlugin (written for DIAdem 2011) to be compatible with 2012?

Thanks...

Hi pcloadletter,

The EV5 DataPlugin works fine for me when I use it in DIAdem 2012 on a test file I happen to have handy.  Could you submit or email me (brad.turpin@ni.com) the data file you're failing to load?
