Diadem Help - Search with *

Status: Already Implemented

Thank you for your request.

It is possible to search with wildcards.

Greetings

Walter

it is not possible to search the Diadem Help with

File*Open

or    *Chn*

or    Fi*Dlg

you always have to know the right word you search.

the possibility to search with * makes it much more easier to findes command when you only have an idea how they could be named

In the search index you can use ? for one and * as wildcards for several characters. You can combine different searches with AND, OR, NOT, AND NEAR. This is possible for all Windows based help files based on *.chm

Please try

You have to use the "Search/Suchen" tab instead of the index. The "Search" make a fulltext search while the "Index" shows up only the word from the list. With "f*Chn" you will get about 10 entries in the German help.

but in the other tab you will get no command-list anyway, it´s a mix of information, command, attributes....

But you can sort the results by "Position" or add "AND Befehl" and/or search "Only in title".
