Allow hyperlinks in REPORT layouts

Status:

I would like active hyperlinks to be allowed in REPORT layouts. For example: http://www.ni.com/diadem/. Clicking on this link (in the REPORT layout) would result in the user's default internet browser to open to the link.

Can you please give an example for the use case you have in mind ?

Would you typically link to a webpage or would this be a link to a local document ? Or both ?

Both would be great - I could see cases where we would link to a website (http://www.ni.com), a UNC path (\\server\folder\filename.txt) or local file path (c:\Temp\Document.txt).

Hi!

Yesterday I talked to a customer who wanted to use a kind of Web Report with links to server files. The Idea behind that is to keep downloadable reports small - "if you need the additional information, you can click on these links"
