Need to output milliamps to control a pressure transducer

Ok, I've only used DasyLab for aquiring data prior, so I'm kind of lost here.

What I'd like to do is set up a simple slider control which can send a variable 4-20 milliamp signal to a pressure transducer.

I am using DasyLab 10 with a Iotech PDAQ/55.

This seems like it would be simple enough, but I can't seem to figure out how to do it.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I can't help with the frustration... as far as I know, the PersonalDAQ 54/55/56 products do not have Analog Outputs.

You need a device that does have analog output channels. Depending on the device (current or voltage), you will have to convert your internal DASYLab units to 4-20 ma or the equivalent voltage output. For example, Measurement Computings USB-3102 is a low cost voltage/current output device that works with DASYLab. You can use it at the same time as the PersonalDAQ/55.

Measurement Computing (MCC) has free technical support. Visit www.mccdaq.com and click on the "Support" tab for all support options, including DASYLab.
