Message module

I have added a message module so that I can make a running log during the process.  I have 3 issues

How can i make the manual text entry box come up without having it always open?  

How can i enter the message without clicking send? (keystroke)

How can i move the txt file to the same directory that my "write" module is saving the data file to? At this time it is saving the txt file to the default directory, and even if i change the save log options it still saves there.  is there an action or other way of achieving this.
