Dasylab Update V13 included?

Solved!
Go to solution

Hallo!

I have a short question. I was not able to figure this out on my own at the Dasylab Website.

We are using dasylab V 11. There was Version 13 released few days ago. Are these Updates included, or do we have to buy the updates?

Thanks for all responses and have a nice day.

You would only be able if you have the service/upgrade subscription or you purchase the upgrade that is not to expensive.

Major version releases (from V11 to V13) are additional cost. In the US, they are priced by the license... DASYLab UPD Lite, DASYLab UPD Basic, etc.

If you are in any other country, you should contact your reseller. The price for updates may be different.

If you recently purchased DASYLab 12, you may be eligible for the update at no cost or at reduced cost. You must contact your reseller, since this forum is not about pricing.

The USB-9000 card uses the NI-DAQmx with that you will need to create a Task and read it into DASYLab.

What software components are needed?

The driver software that supports the device:

NI Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX)

NI-DAQmx drivers

DASYLab with the NI-DAQmx driver enabled.

After installation, open MAX, check the device and test it.

Add one or more TASKS for the device. It's best to have a task for each configuration that you might use. Configure the sample rate and samples to read, in addition to any channel or sensor specific settings. You may choose to create a scale and scale the data to engineering units.

I prefer to use Continuous, rather than N Samples for acquisition, because it is what DASYLab does with most other drivers.

Test the task, save it..  Close MAX.

Open DASYLab, create Input/Output -> NI-DAQmx Analog Input. Configure it to select the task. Add the same number of channels as the task is configured for. DASYLab will pick up the sample rate and block size from the task.
