FFTs in DAQExpress

Solved!
Go to solution

The manual for DAQExpress seems to say that the program can calculate fast fourier transforms over a data set. After a fairly extensive look through the application there doesn't seem to be any mention of fourier transforms within, let alone analysis panels. Am I missing something, or why does this discrepancy exist?

It's mention in the manual is below. FFTmanual.PNG

Hi David,

With DAQExpress, the FFT analysis can only be performed after data has been collected, not programmatically on the block diagram.

Performing an FFT Analysis in DAQExpress

First, you need to capture some data. This can be done by either recording data from the task directly or capturing the data from a graph on the front panel.

Then, select the Capture Data tab and select the captured data. From here, you can perform the FFT.

FYI - As a reference to additional user, we have our Acquire, Record, and Process Data in NI DAQExpress tutorial available as well.
