Minimum pulse width detectable counting with USB-6210

Hi,

Can anyone tell me which is the minimum width of a pulse at a digital input that the counter of an USB-6210 module can count?

The specs sheet only talks about the debouncing filter, which has a minimum setting of 125 ns. However, this filter can be disabled. How long does the pulse has to be in order to be detected (counted)?

For example in the NI6602, this time is 5ns without prescaling.

Any help will be appreciated

Regards,

Miguel

Hi richilarro.,

You can read the explanation  related in http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/9ECE7DBE7DF338BD86256F8600734A41 , I think this  information may help you to solve the issue.

Thanks LeninMartin for the reply;

but I still don't know if a clean 10 ns pulse will be counted by this module in the counting mode, or if it will be skipped. I understand the debouncing filter options, and I do not want to use any filter, so I can enter with a pulse as short as I can. How short this pulse can be?

Regards,

richi

Hello richilarro.,

I had read the information related with this subject and  the minimum pulse width for your device is the 125 ns, if you disable the filter.
