Greetings,
I designed the following Gel Cell charger in multisim:
http://shdesigns.org/pdf/gcellchg.pdf
It is attached.
I am trying to find out how much current the circuit ideally charges a 12V 5AH battery with a rating of a 1.5A max charge current.
I would like to see it in two configurations, one with just R3 as shown and one with R3 and R4 in parallel (equivalent to .5 ohm)
But it isnt simulating. I am a little rusty with multisim, perhaps I am missing something.
Thank you for any help.

Hello ndnbolla,
Could you please clarify what do you mean by "it isnt simulating"?
I was able to open your attached diagram and run it (I had to erase R4 because you can't run the simulation if there is an unwired component in the diagram, but I could also run it with R4 in parallel with R3 and R4 in parallel).
Input this URL in any web browser in order to watch a short video where I run the simulation without errors:
"Simulated circuit"

In the other hand, if the values that you read with the DMM are not the expected values, it would be an issue with the values or configuration of the components in the diagram and not the environment itself.
Regards!

Thanks Daniel, it works now.
Is there was a way to simulate the charging of a 12V 5AH battery?
