editing footprint pad size in ultiboard

Hi, I have created the surface mount component footprint in ultiboard.  I now need to edit the pad size as it is too wide and causing errors saying the pins are too close to each other.  How can I do this?  When I open the footprint up in edit mode through the database manager I cannot find any tabs/settings for changing the pad sizes.

Thanks,

Ronak Patel

Goto the databses manager and find your part. Once you find your part in the same window at the very top are about six little icons. Click on the second one. This is the edit part icon. Once that is clicked it should take you to the Footprinjt edit mode with the part on screen. From their just right click any pad and select Properties. This will take you to the SMT Pin Properites dialog box and there you should see a tab labeled PAD. At this point you can edit it however you like and re-save back to your database.

I hope this helps. There may be other ways to do this, but this is the easiest for me.

One added note to my above procedure. You can select all the pads by either dragging a window across the or by pressing CTRL and the left mouse button.

Also, in my last post I didn't mean for it to sound like it did, but I have to post procedures in a step by step manner in order for me not to get confused in my explaination. So if it sounds like I am instructing a 5th Grader, it is not intentional. It is just the way I do it.
