Hi,
I don't understand the clearance settings under each of the separate tabs "Parts","Nets", "SMT Pads" & "THT Pads".
For example if you are in the "Nets" Tab and you change the clearance to Pad. Is that the clearance of the Net to the Pad?
Then if you go to the "SMT Pads" or "THT Pads" tab and you change the clearance to Trace, is that the clearance of the Pad to Trace?
Is a Net the same as a Trace?
What about Parts tab? When you set a part clearance to trace what exactly does that mean?

Hello,
You can go to View>>Clearances to display all the clearances on the design and experiment with different clearance values to see the effect.
SMT pads and THT pads
The clearance you configure here is the pad to trace. A DRC error is generated is a trace is too close to a pad.
Nets tab
The setting refers to the clearance of the trace.
Parts tab
The setting refers to the space beteen parts and traces.
A trace is the physical representation of a net (or node).
