Software bug..??

Solved!

Hi,

Using MultiSIM Blue. I have a problem where Xtal1 crystal is connected to C1 and C2 in MultiSIM. But when I transfer it to UltiBoard Xtal1 is not connected to anything. I can add the connections in UltiBoard to fix the problem, but it should be transferred correctly from MultiSIM. Is this a Software bug?

Hi PCworker,

Without looking at the design file, my guess is the pin name in Multisim is different than Ultiboard.

Double-click on the crystal in Multisim, then select Edit>>Footprint, the "Footprint Pin" column shows the pin name for the pads. In Ultiboard, zoom into the crystal pad and you should see the pad name. Since there is likely going to be a mismatch, you can change the pad name and I suggest you do it Ultiboard by double-clicking the pad and under the "attribute" tab, select the "Number" line then click "Change", change the pad name to match with Multisim
