Multisim: Parameter Sweep of piecewise linear voltage source

Solved!
Go to solution

Hi,

I made a transient analysis of a 4-stage-amplifier with a certain input pulse generated with a piecewise linear voltage source (screenshot 1).

Now I want to make a parameter sweep analysis by varying the maximum amplitude of my generated pulse.

What's the right parameter for this? (screenshot 2)

Thanks in advance,

Johannes

Dear Tintifax,

could you please post your Multisim circuit diagram.

Hi there,

You will not be able to do it by sweeping device/model parameters because the Amplitude of a pulse source is actually not considered a device/model parameter.

Use Mutlisim's Circuit Parameter feature for this. See the attached circuit for reference.

I defined a new Circuit Parameter (View->Circuit Parameters) called "Level" with a default value of 1.

I assigned this parameter to the "Pulsed value" parameter of the Pulse Voltage source component.

Then, in the Parameter Sweep dialog, I selected Circuit Parameter as the type of parameter I want to sweep and then I selected the "Level" parameter.

Let me how that works out for you.

Thank you very much!
That's it! Didn't know about the Circuit Parameters.
