You need a command anode (CA) display since the common is connected to VCC. Using a common cathode (CK) basically reverse biases the LEDs so they won't light.

That is correct.
Replac3e the common cathode (CK) with a coommon anode (CA) display.

hi,
i tried replacing but did not light up.and got simulatiion error and i sther any way stick using common cathode display as it is the requirement of the system and the digital circuitry is such that it matches the 7 segment common cathode display.
thks a lot

`how to remain using common cathode 7 seven segment display

I changed the analog groung to digital ground, and i added a Common Anode 7 segment display.
The display now works.
What is the logic circuit supposed to do?
What are the 3 switches supposed to control?
Check your logic and your wiring.

Here is your ckt with a CK display.
If any segments flicker while simulating, STOP the simulation and then START it again.
The circuit still puzzles me. The output display still look like nonsense. Min 0 generates a 6; min 1 generates an upper case E.
Very strange outputs. What is this an exercise? The circuit doesn't seem to do anything logical. Am I missing something?
