Hi everybody
I'm planning to try multisim, but I need to know,
Does Multisim transistor model include capacitances?
Thanks all 🙂
Best wishes

Multisim uses the SPICE simulation engine and you can refer to any SPICE documentation for details about BJT modelling, here is one link:

Multisim has several transistor types (e.g MOSFET, BJT, JFET, etc). Moreover some of these types have different levels of models (from simpler to more complex and more specific). You can certainly specify values for the various capacitances or generally charge storage behaviors for all of these models.
These capacitances are typically non-linear; some care and should be taken to specify the values of corresponding parameters. The equations are provided in the documentation.
If this is for a very basic simulation where you need to specify constant (linear) capacitances for all conditions, you can simply omit the capacitance parameters in the transistor model (thereby creating a DC-only model) and place capacitor components manually as needed.
