DIP relay

Hi,

I'm trying to simulate the combination of bridge rectifier & split-battery charging circuit based on the following link:

http://www.amphibike.org/index.cgi?page=pages/3_bikes/monocog/unregCharge

However, I can't find a DIP relay from the multisim list of relays. Can anyone help out?

Thanks.

Hi Exeter,

It is always possible to create custom components in Multisim. You should look for the specific part that you want and then search for the pspice model on the manufacturer's website. Most of the time, they are easy to find. My suggestion is to first select a specific part you want to use and then take it from there.

Hi,

I'm continually amazed that every time you want to make a simple PCB from schematic you have to make parts. A dpdt 16 pin DIP relay is very common. Why the expensive tool that's even more expensive in time when you go to use it?

It's frustrating to have a tool that fights you every time you use it. Judging from all the posts on DPDT relays, it would seem that NI should react to the needs of it's users.

Sorry for the negative post, but I'm hoping it is constructive.

Regards,

Jim S.
