AC voltage at output keeps on varying

I have made a simple resistor to divide ac voltage.

But output on multimetr keeps on varying.

Also I have selected ac option in volt measurement. Why is that so.

1. I am attaching my circuit.

2. Also a snapshot of multimeter settings.

Hi there,

When you are using a multimeter to measure the AC voltage of the output, it means RMS value(root mean square value). Therefore, it's fixed around 443.6mV. The reason why it's flashing is because at net 1 in your schematic, the voltage is 889mV in RMS, which is quit small, but the variation is only in 0.002mV which can be ignored.

Hope it helps.
