74LS11D

Solved!
Go to solution

Something seems to be wrong with the 74LS11D TTL IC that came with my MultiSim 10.1.197.

The pin labelled 2Y seems to be 3Y, and the pin labelled 1Y seems to be 2Y.  I'm still trying to figure out what's what.

Is there a fix for this component?

Hi there,

I took a quick look and it looked OK to me. Attached is the datasheet that I used. Do you have the original circuit or datasheet?

Attached is a simple test circuit for the component.

Excuse my technique - I'm a novice.

You might have attached the wrong schematic. There is no 74LS11D in the schematic that you've attached.

That's weird.  Attached is a screenshot of what I see when I open it.

I right-clicked the 74LS11D and replaced it with the 74LS11N.  The 74LS11N works fine.

My problem is solved, because the 74LS11N will work for what I'm doing.

However, you might want to investigate further the 74LS11D which came with my software.  Let me know if I can help with that.

Hi ledwig,

I am sorry, you are right. I had the wrong file open and getting confused. Your suggestion of using the 74LS11N is a good one. The only difference is the footprint that it maps to in layout. There is a problem with the model that comes with the 74LS11D. It is a relatively easy one to fix and we will try to have it worked out soon.

Thanks for reporting this!
