designing and simulation ballast for fluorescent lamp

 

Dear all

i want to design schematic diagram for electronic ballast for fluorescent lamp.how can i place fluorescent lamp T8 ,36W  for simulation

To my knowledge, Multisim does not have any models for a flourescent tube. You may be able to find a model on the internet and create one. The other option, which is not that great,  is to use an equivalent resistance of the bulb and plug that into where the bulb is supposed to be.

 

Other than this, I have no other ideas.

Just another quick point. When I entered a schematic of one of these from the internet I just used the regular lamps in the database. The may help to approximate what the real lamp would do. My results were more or less in line with the results shown on the website for this particular schematic. Not perfect, but workable at least for me. I really just think that you just need some sort of load on the circuit for it to give the results you need. How you achieve that is up to you. What works for me may not necessarily work for you.

 

I know this may not help, but I thought I would pass it along.
